Step by step
How to search permits in Nassau County.
Start with the office for the property's address. The official portal shows the permit's current status, inspections and documents.
Find the permitting authority
Check whether the address is inside Fernandina Beach, which issues its own permits. Otherwise the permit belongs to Nassau County Building Department.
Open the official permit search
Open Nassau County Accela Citizen Access portal, which runs on Accela Citizen Access. The county's new online permitting portal; the department page links an account-creation guide for it.
Search by address or permit number
Search with the street address or the permit number where the portal offers those fields, then open the record for its status, inspections and documents.
Ask the office about older records
If a permit is missing online, ask Nassau County Building Department ((904) 530-6250) how to request it. Older permits are not always in online systems.
Municipalities
Nassau County cities
and their permits.
A city that runs its own building department issues permits inside its limits, and its records are in the city's portal, not the county's.
