Step by step
How to search permits in Escambia County.
Start with the office for the property's address. The official portal shows the permit's current status, inspections and documents.
Find the permitting authority
Check whether the address is inside Pensacola, which issues its own permits. Otherwise the permit belongs to Escambia County Building Services.
Open the official permit search
Open Escambia County online contractor and citizen access (MyGovernmentOnline), which runs on MyGovernmentOnline. The county's permitting page links 'Online Contractor and Citizen Access' to MyGovernmentOnline; applications can also be emailed to permits@myescambia.com.
Search by address or permit number
Search with the street address or the permit number where the portal offers those fields, then open the record for its status, inspections and documents.
Ask the office about older records
If a permit is missing online, ask Escambia County Building Services (850-595-3550) how to request it. Older permits are not always in online systems.
